The Middle
In “the middle", a time when time stands still, yet the world keeps moving. A time when I have a hard time keeping up with anything, feeling as if life is a stop motion film, and I am in a constant state of remembering to breathe.
The weather is getting warmer, flowers are blooming, and it seems that the world is waking up again. Yet, here I am, looking to the sky, looking to the earth, feeling like I belong in neither place - just in “the middle.”
The result of experiencing sorrow you feel cannot be deeper; then, in a short, time-stopping moment, realizing it can become earth-shattering, compounding into a volcanic explosion of my heart and soul that I will never fully recover from.
The beauty of spring blooming to life is forever a reminder of the loss of the most beautiful souls I have ever encountered.
